Our second full day exploring Chiang Mai Province with our guide Ben included the following highlights:

  • Doi Inthanon National Park
  • Vachirathan Water Fall
  • Royal Garden Siribhum Water Fall

Ben drove us to the summit of Doi Inthanon which is the highest point in Thailand at 2600 m. We were in t-shirts, shorts and sandals and the Thai tourists were taking photos of each other in heavy padded ski jackets. They looked at us like we were from another planet! It was about 20 degrees Centigrade, but for them it is winter!

We did some hiking, took some photos and marveled at this lovely part of Thailand.

We  tried to climb to the top of the Vachirathan Water Fall, first time we took the wrong track and when we found the right one it didn’t quite go to the top, but high enough to see the amazing views.
